REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE/HEALTH
  • SUPPORT Pregnancy Support & Wellness Services SB 242 (Arrington/Smith) HB 6001 (Skidmore)  - Repeals provisions relating to pregnancy support and wellness services  aka “Fake Clinics”

  • SUPPORT Pregnant Women in Custody SB 172 (Jones) HB 59 (Hart-Lowman, Campbell, Tendrich) - Requiring that, upon her request, every female arrested within 72 hours after arrest be administered a pregnancy test; requiring each detention facility to notify each arrested female of her right to request a pregnancy test; requiring the court to determine whether to grant a pregnant woman’s request to stay the beginning of the period of incarceration, etc.

  • SUPPORT Healthcare Freedom Act SB 790 (Jones) HB 677 Eskamani - Provides for health care including reproductive health needs; repeals provisions relating to sex-reassignment prescriptions & procedures & civil liability for provision of sex-reassignment prescriptions or procedures to minors, respectively; requires providing notice of refused services; requires DOH to publish & maintain on its website current list of covered entities & their refused services & revises timeframe in which physician may perform termination of pregnancy; requires AHCA to provide Medicaid reimbursement for medically necessary treatment for or related to gender dysphoria

  • SUPPORT Formalizing School Immunizations SB 626 (Smith/Berman) Revising the communicable diseases for which immunization is required for school attendance, etc

  • SUPPORT Presumptive Medicaid Eligibility for Pregnant Women SB 368 (Davis) HB 1351 (Daniels/Franklin) -Expands the entities that can determine presumptive eligibility for pregnant women.

  • SUPPORT Reproductive Freedom Act SB 1308 (Davis) HB 1151 (Driskell)- Establishes the right to reproductive health care.

  • SUPPORT HIV Modernization Act SB 764 (Jones/Rodriguez) HB 1223 (Young)- Updates Florida HIV laws to ensure HIV is treated like other STIs.

  • OPPOSE Parental Rights SB 166 (Grall) HB 173 (Kendall) - Requires parental consent for maternal health and contraceptive information and treatment, treatment of sexually transmitted infections, and mental health mobile response team services. 

  • OPPOSE Civil Liability for Wrongful Death of an Unborn Child SB 164 (Grall) HB 282 (Greco) - Redefines fetus as an unborn child and provides for recovery of damages for wrongful death.

  • OPPOSE Medical Conscience SB 670 (Yarborough) HB 552 (Black) - Allows health care providers to pursue civil lawsuits to address violations of their refusal to provide services that violate their medical consciences.

  • OPPOSE Civil Penalties Pertaining to Abortion SB 1374 (Martin HB 663 (Abbott, Jacques) - Allows lawsuits (with bounties of $100,000 with payouts) brought by family members against anyone who performs an illegal abortion.

  • OPPOSE Prohibited Sex Reassignment Prescriptions and Procedures SB 1010 (Yarborough) HB 743 (Melo) - Outlaws hormone or treatment for minors addressing sex reassignment.

  • OPPOSE Attack on Medicaid SB 1758 (Gaetz/Brodeur) HB 1453 (Snyder) - Adds additional roadblocks to receive care.

CONSTITUTIONAL EQUALITY, ECONOMIC JUSTICE, FREEDOM OF SPEECH
  • SUPPORT Voting Rights Act SB 1598 (Bracy Davis) HB 1419 (Young) - Provides protections for access to voting and additional opportunities including same-day registration, VBM status lengthened

  • SUPPORT Immigrants & Law Enforcement SB 1334 (Grall) HB 419 (Nixon) - Provides that law enforcement and immigration agents not have their faces covered and have identification.

  • OPPOSE Voting Restrictions SB 1284 (Grall) HB 991 (Persons, Mulicka) - Raises Bar for Voting & Adds requirements to prove citizenship.

  • OPPOSE Reduction in Minimum Wage SB 1412 (Martin) CS/HB221 Chamberlain - Exempts certain employers from state minimum wage requirements.

LGBTQ RIGHTS & DIVERSITY/RACIAL JUSTICE
  • OPPOSE DEI Ban in Municipalities SB 1134 (Yarborough) HB 1001 (Black) - Bans programs that promote DEI with penalties.

  • OPPOSE Don't Say Gay at Work - Regulates how people refer to themselves and others at work regarding gender identity.

EDUCATION/CHILDREN
  • SUPPORT Freedom to Learn Act SB 790 (Davis) HB 677 (Nixon) - Repealing concepts that discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex; repeals provisions eliminating programs on diversity, equity, and inclusion, authorizing school media centers to provide materials and information.

  • SUPPORT Schools of Hope SB 424 (Rouson) HB 6023 (Gantt, Bartleman) - Removes provision authorizing school of hope to colocate with another school in public school facility; removes provision requiring school district to permit school of hope to use underused, vacant, or surplus school district facility; removes requirement for students enrolled in school of hope to be included in school district's total capital outlay full-time equivalent membership; & removes provision authorizing hope operator establishing school of hope to use such facility at no cost.

  • OPPOSE Materials Harmful to Minors SB 1692 (MCClain) HB 1119 (Bankston) Strengthens book bans.

  • OPPOSE Student Indocrination Bill SB 1090 (Grall) HB 1071 (Trabulsky) Creates curricula that promotes inaccurate information.

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN/GUN VIOLENCE
  • SUPPORT Injunction for Protection CS/SB 32 (Sharief) HB 547 (Gerwig) - Creating a cause of action for an injunction for protection in cases of serious violence by a known person.

  • OPPOSE Minimum Age for Firearm Purchase HB 133 (Sirois) - Reduces age to purchase firearms to 18.
